Project Title: Slavery During Colonial America
Driving Question: What was life like during slavery in Colonial America?

Project Summary: This project will focus on colonial life in America from the perspectives of various people such as indentured servants, and slaves. The students will create a news broadcast to interview notable slaves from the American colonies .

Southern Colonies: Williams & Ellen Craft/Robert Smalls
Public Product: The students will use the information they have researched to map out the Underground railroad using Google Tour Builder and present to community members.

- The students will RESEARCH slavery during colonial times.
- The students will UNDERSTAND how the lives and times of African Americans were during slavery were very demanding and difficult compared to how things are today.
- The students will BE ABLE TO prepare a presentation that gives the point of view of enslaved African Americans and how slavery impacted their lives and future. They will also map out the Underground railroad using Google Tour Builder.
